Traits are the passive abilities that shape a character in Urtuk: The Desolation. Active ones are Abilities, Focus Abilities and Overfocus Abilities. For a class specific overview, see Classes.

Achievement Traits[ | ]
These are open to every character by fulfilling their unlock condition. Once unlocked, they will be permanently active on the character.

Relic Traits[ | ]
Relics can be found when unsealing a village and can't be absorbed. Every turn there is a chance that a hostile group is chasing you down in order to return the relic. These groups will spawn from the map fortresses.

Strong VS[ | ]
Most characters start with a "Strong VS X" trait - it gives them a significant advantage when fighting against a certain type of enemy or condition. It is possible that a character doesn't have any, but up to 2 can be learned when doing a mission to rescue a weaponmaster. If successful, your partymembers with the associated weapon will gain a new random Strong VS trait.
Minimum unlock level for any Strong VS is level 3.
